Three citizens martyred in Homs by mortar shell
Three citizens were martyred while many others were wounded as a mortar shell, launched by terrorists, fell on the residential neighborhoods of al-Ghouta in Homs.
An official source told SANA that the mortar shell fell near the directorate of Health in al-Ghouta neighborhood, causing the martyrdom of three citizens and material damages to the near houses and cars.
Terrorists assassinate mosque imam in a village in Banias
In the framework of targeting moderate religious figures, terrorists on Monday assassinated sheikh Osama Tawfiq al-A’sar, Imam of the mosque of al-Qreir village in the countryside of Banias in Tartous.
An official source told SANA reporter that terrorists opened fire at sheikh al-A’sar in the farms of al-Qreir village using machineguns.
The source stressed that sheikh al-A’sar was martyred along with another man accompanying him.
There have been many assassinations of religious figures committed by terrorists. Chairman of the Levant Scholars Union, Dr. Mohammad Said Ramadan al-Bouti and preacher of Anas Bin Malek Mosque in Damascus, Dr. Ahmad Sadeq, were among the victims.
Mosques and churches have also been targeted by the armed terrorist groups.
