Several martyrs by terrorists’ gunfire and shells

Damascus, (SANA-H. Said)- A mortar shell fired Wednesday by terrorists on Barzeh area in Damascus killed six citizens and injured 19 others.

SANA reporter quoted a source at Damascus Police Command that the shell hit a vehicle transporting employees at the Scientific Research Center in Barzeh.

The source added that six employees were martyred and 19 others were injured by the shell, which caused material damage in the site.

Members of the National Reconciliation Committee assassinated

In another context, an armed terrorist group assassinated Tuesday evening Head of the Municipality of al-Zabadani city in Damascus Countryside, Majed Tinawi, and member of the National Reconciliation Committee Ghassan al-Haj Hammoud.

A source at the Police Command told SANA reporter that terrorists shot at Tinawi and Hammoud in the Zabadani city after they came out of a meeting discussing national reconciliation efforts in the area.

The source pointed out that Tinawi and Hammoud were immediately martyred as a result of the shooting.

Rocket shells hit Homs Refinery, workers injured

Homs, (SANA)- Rocket shells fired by terrorists on Wednesday hit the Oil Refinery of Homs, the workers’ housing compound and the General Establishment for Refining, injuring a number of workers.

SANA reporter quoted a source at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources as saying that the terrorist attack caused injury to a number of workers at the housing compound.

The source added that the rocket shells caused material damage to a tanker at the Refinery and to the building of the General Establishment for Refining.
