Army inflicts direct strikes upon terrorists’ dens, destroys heavy weaponry
Sep 15, 2013 – (SANA) – Terrorist groups are increasingly suffering heavy losses as the army units are inflicting direc strikes upon their gatherings and dens and destroying their heavy weaponry in different areas across the country.
Terrorists’ heavy weapons destroyed in several areas in Aleppo
Units of the armed forces carried out operations against terrorists’ dens and gatherings and destroyed their weapons, including rocket launch-pads and mortars, in addition to foiling terrorists’ attempt to infiltrate into the safe areas in Salah-Eddin and al-Sheikh Said neighborhoods.
A military source told SANA that the army units destroyed terrorists’ dens, gatherings and a 23 mm anti-aircraft gun in al-Nairab farms in Aleppo countryside and killed a number of terrorists in Erbid and Rasm al-Aboud villages.
The source added that an army unit destroyed mortars, and heavy machineguns and rocket launch-pads in al-Jadideh and Kweires villages, killing scores of terrorists.
The source pointed out that the army units foiled terrorists’ attempt to infiltrate into the safe areas in al-Sheikh Said neighborhood, while another army unit killed 7 terrorists and injured 8 others who were attempting to sneak from al-Marjeh neighborhood to Assan village, destroying their weapons and equipment.
Meanwhile, an army unit clashed with an armed terrorist group in Salah-Eddin neighborhood and killed all its members, while another army unit repelled terrorists’ attempt to infiltrate into the safe areas in the old city of Aleppo.
Army eliminates terrorists, destroys weapons and ammo in Homs
In Homs city, army units clashed with terrorists in al-Qarabis and Jouret al-Shiyah neighborhoods, destroying their weapons and ammo.
Army units repelled terrorists coming from Jaafar and Hajjo areas in al-Sa’an area who attempted to attack army checkpoints northeast of Homs city, eliminating most of them and destroying a heavy machinegun they had been using.
Weapons and ammo which terrorists had loaded in a truck were destroyed along with all the terrorists inside the truck east of al-Ameriya village in Homs countryside, while army units destroyed terrorist hideouts and gatherings in Kafr Laha and al-Houleh areas.
So-called legitimate body of Jabhat al-Nusra destroyed in Deir Ezzor
A military source said that the armed forces units destroyed headquarters of the so-called the legitimate body of Jabhat al-Nusra and large amounts of weapons and ammunition were loaded in a car in al-Hamidieh neighborhood in Deir Ezzor.
In a statement to SANA reporter, the source said that a field hospital in front of the Central Park was also destroyed where all the terrorists inside the hospital were also killed including the sniper Abdul Razak Mekhlef al-Hussein, Ibrahim al-Hijy and Iyad al-Alwan.
The source pointed out that the army units eliminated terrorists’ gatherings in the villages Mrat and Htaleh. Ibrahim al-Helw, the leader of one of the terrorist groups, Mohammed Hamad al-Jameeli, Ibrahim al-Shaer and Aref al-Salem were identified among the dead.
Army restores security to several villages in Homs
Homs, (SANA-B. Mousa/H. Said) – A military source announced Sunday that the army units restored security and stability to the villages of Msheirfeh, Mas’adeh, Msei’eed, Khattab, Asmad, Um Hartein al-Sharqiyeh and Um Hartein al-Gharbiyeh in the eastern countryside of Homs.
SANA reporter quoted the source as saying that the terrorists in these villages suffered heavy losses at the hands of the army members.
Journalist Fakhr Eddin Hassan martyred in terrorist blast in Idleb
Idleb, (SANA-F.Allafi) – Journalist Fakr Eddin Hassan was martyred on Sunday as a terrorist explosive device blew off a bus on Idleb-Mastoumeh highway.
An official source told SANA reporter that the terrorist blast also injured 9 other citizens, who were rushed to the National Hospital, in addition to causing material damage to the bus.
Journalist Fakr Eddin Hassan worked for al-Masira Newspaper which is issued by the Revolutionary Youth Union.
