Huge numbers of foreign mercenaries & terrorists, including also leaders of the criminal ISIS-linked groups, killed by Syrian Arab Army in military operations

October 10, 2013 – Syrian Arab NewsAgency – Army units on Thursday continued pursuing the armed terrorist groups in several provinces, killing and injuring a number of them and destroying their weapons.

A huge number of terrorists killed in Lattakia, including leaders of ISIS-linked groups

The army operations in the northern countryside of Lattakia resulted in destroying a number of weapons-loaded cars, Grad rockets and weapons cache and killing many terrorists, including Egyptians and leader of a terrorist group from al-Qaeda-linked ‘The Islamic State in Iraq and al-Sham’.

SANA reporter quoted a military source as saying that army units destroyed several dens and gatherings for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Najiyeh village.

The source added that the operations resulted in the destruction of two cars loaded with weapons and ammunition and another car loaded with Grad rockets, in addition to the killing of 32 terrorists and the injury of 41 others.

Egyptian terrorist Thaer al-Sayyed Ali was identified among the dead, in addition to Abdul-Salam al-Ahmad, Abdullah Mutaz al-Kheir, Kamal Ahmad Mohammad, Mohannad Ali al-Shimali and Ali Khalid al-Mardini.

Other army units killed 39 Jabhat al-Nusra-linked terrorists and injured 35 others and destroyed their weapons, including heavy machine guns, in al-Durreh village.

A weapons cache was also destroyed in the village.

Egyptian terrorists al-Sheikh Ahmad Abdul-Rahman, Sufian Abo al-Ati, Bakr al-Sayyed Khalid and Khalid al-Dahshouri were identified among the dead.

The Jordanian Othman Abo al-Rabei, leader of a terrorist group affiliated to the so-called The Islamic State in Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), was also among the dead.

According to the source, a unit of the armed forces destroyed two cars loaded with ammunition and killed 39 terrorists and injured 19 others in al-Rabi’a village.

Abo al-Khattab al-Antaki, leader of an ISIS-linked armed terrorist group, was identified among the dead.

Nine other terrorists were killed and 32 were injured in Droushan village. Most of those are non-Syrians.

Terrorists’ car convoys destroyed in Aleppo

Army units carried out several special operations in which they destroyed car convoys for terrorist groups, some loaded with weapons and ammunition, in several areas in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, according to an official source.

The source told SANA reporter that those areas included Deir Hafer, Ebteen, al-Lairamoun, al-Sfeira, Kafr Hamra, al-Kastello, Shre’, near al-Jabboul Lake and at Tal Aran-al-Radwaniyeh axis.

Other army units, the source added, killed and injured members of an armed terrorist group as they were trying to infiltrate the surrounding of the Grand Umayyad Mosque in the old city of Aleppo.

Army kills terrorists, destroys a mortar in Daraa countryside

A military source told SANA that a unit of the armed forces killed 5 terrorists in an ambush set in al-Baka’a area in Izra’ in Daraa countryside and destroyed a mortar.

The source added that other army units destroyed terrorists’ gatherings in Daraa al-Balad, Daraa camp and al-Na’imeh village.

An army unit clashed with armed terrorist groups in the surrounding of the old al-Jemruk (Customs) , killing and injuring a big number of terrorists.

Three terrorists were killed, 12 others were injured all of them are from Jabhat al-Nusra, due to the explosion of explosive devices manufacturing factory in a 2-floor house in Nisib village in Daraa countryside.

Terrorists including non-Syrians eliminated in Lattakia

A military source said that armed forces units destroyed a number of cars loaded with weapons, ammunition, grad rockets and a weapons cache in Lattakia countryside.

The army units killed a number of terrorists including Egyptian and Jordanian terrorists and the leader of an armed terrorist group of the so-called The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Dawlat al-Islamiyya in al-Iraq and al-Sham) affiliated to al-Qaeda in the villages of al-Najieh, al-Dorra, Droshan and al-Rabia, the source added.

Army arrests 4 terrorists in Hasaka

In Hasaka, an army unit arrested, in an ambush, 4 terrorists, one of them from Jabhat al-Nusra and seized their weapons.

6 citizens martyred, 16 injured in terrorist rocket attack in Aleppo

Six citizens were martyred and 16 others were injured by rocket shells which terrorists fired on al-Azamiyeh area in Aleppo and landed near Bilal Mosque.

2 citizens martyred, 5 wounded by rocket shell in Homs city

In the same context, a rocket shell which terrorists fired on al-Insha’at neighborhood in the city of Homs caused the martyrdom of two citizens and the injury of five others.

An official source told SANA reporter that the shell, which landed near al-Firdous Mosque, caused material damage to the site.
