DAMASCUS, 26/10/2013 – A car bomb blew up Friday while terrorists were preparing it near Osama Bin Zaid Mosque in Souq Wadi Barada in Damascus Countryside.
An official source told SANA that the explosion caused the killing of many terrorists and casualties among the citizens, in addition to material damage in the site.
SANA reporter to al-Muwasah hospital said that the bodies of two citizens arrived to the hospital, including a 7-year-old child, and 30 injured, most of them in critical condition.
One of the injured citizens said that the explosion took place before the end of Friday prayers, causing the collapse of the mosque’s two entrances and casualties among citizens, in addition to material damage to the shops and parked cars in the site.
Child injured by terrorists’ mortar shell in Damascus
A child was injured after terrorists launched a mortar shell on the residential area of al-Abbasyeen in Damascus on Friday.
A source at the Police Command told SANA reporter that the shell fell on Fares al-Khouri Street and caused the injury of a six-years-old child, adding that two cars were also damaged by the attack.
